Classical Sounds is proud to present Classical Organ Sounds, the third classical concert in the series for 2018.

On Sunday 23 September, Eon Malan and Christopher Petrie, students of the acclaimed organist and pedagogue, dr. Mario Nell, will impress listeners with repertoire by some of the best known organ composers we know. The program features works by Bruhns, Bach, Mendelssohn and South African composer, Albert Troskie, to only name a few.

Eon Malan is music director and choirmaster at the Bellville-West DRC, active as SAKOV Social Media Editor and a full time music student at the Department of Music, Stellenbosch.

Christopher Petrie is currently enrolled for his Honours degree in organ performance at the SU. Both of these students have received numerous bursaries from the South African Church Organist Society (SAKOV).

The concert takes place inside the Helderberg Dutch Reformed church building and starts at 16:00. Entrance is free and donations for the further development of classical music and young musicians are welcome. Delicious refreshments will be on sale in our tent before and after the concert – a perfect Sunday afternoon outing. No bookings required.
